RE: Living the full-time Lifestyle

We could even define "readily mobile" as if you can move in hours, you're readily mobilie, if you need the tire service to come out first you're not. I'm sure you've seen lots of those :W :B yep guess you could consider flat tires as being immobile eh? Now 'I've seen a few of those. I agree with what you say.

RE: Living the full-time Lifestyle

In all my years of travel and time in long stay parks I've never seen an RV up on blocks anywhere? There might be a few, but I've never seen any. Anybody out there year round on blocks?? I've seen mobile home and park models, but no RV's John.

Everybody does it their own way and there is NO right way. I'll not let this thread as before turn into a thread of it's my way or no way or I WILL lock it or better yet delete it. Nuff said!

For my full-timing friends

And everyone for that matter. Now that cold weather is setting in and our Rv's are more "closed up" please check your Carbon Monoxide (CO) detectors and make sure they work! I saw a lot of this in my career and very sad. Don't become a victim! To be honest the first few months I owned my knew home i assumed and never thought about it think ALL RV's came with one. it then dawned on me I didn't! That was remedied very fast! From CNN, very sad :( Check your detectors! They can prevent this! Please let's not speculate on this story. It is to only serve as a reminder to us all.:(

RE: Finding a Doctor on the Road

What I do is have my primary doctor in my home base area and try to be there each year for my annual physical. Whiled traveling I use if needed Urgent Care centers which my PPO accepts and have them send any pertinent info to my doc. On a few occasions the urgent care facility actually conferred with my personal doc for me. This also worked out once when I ran out of a prescription so went to the urgent care place, the doc called my doc and the urgent care doc issued my meds. It was a Class 3 med (Vicoden) (for my wrist) and it all worked pretty cool since you have to be SEEN buy a doc to be prescribed a Class 3 med. Just one way I've gotten around things and has worked quite well.

RE: RV.net stickers ?

I have a limited supply of the regular oval type and quite a few of the static glass cling square types. The static cling are simply moistened and they stick to the glass. the oval type are the peel and stick oval decals. If you'd like pm me your name and address and I'll send them out. Please specify which type you'd like and I'll have to limit 2 per person. I'll post here if I run out. Firedude TV.net Forum Moderator

RE: To purchase a RV lot in a park... or not!

Why in the world would anyone want to go to the same place everytime?:R The purpose of full-time RVing is to hit the road and see something. You might as well stay in a stick home if you are going to park in the same boring place everytime you go out. Just my opinion. I'm sure the stick-in-the mud stay in one place RV'ers will set me straight.:S Well Lynn it's obvious as pointed out many times we all do things differently and to suit OUR needs. Not so sure why that's real hard to understand? We all have our own plans. I don't base my lifestyle on others standards. I base them on my own. Pretty simple stuff, we're not cyborgs thus do many things differently and have different desires and expectations. No rocket science here. Above you described YOUR view/purpose of full-timing. Some of us have different views. I also wonder who has made you think I live in a boring place???? Because I winter in one place???? Not everyone heads to their private site every time they go out and uses it when desired. Where did you get that idea??? I've noticed you seem to have a problem many times with the way some do their full-timing/traveling because it does not meet your standards? Why is that? To make blanket statements that you have seems odd. You don't even know me personally(and probably most here) so how could you begin to tell how I live and whether my site is boring or not and how often to move or travel????? Your views and opinions are fine and welcomed, but please do not try and force your lifestyle on us. You always seem upset/concerned to some degree that some of us do things differently. We do it OUR way. Oh and yes I'm setting you straight as you put it.;) live and let live please. Don't chastise us who do differently than you with your stick in the mud and boring place statements. I will remove any such further statements like that. Very uncalled for . We all do not live YOUR life. Thank you.

RE: Keeping window trim white

Will AWESOME strip off the wax if it gets on it? Yep it will, that's why I use PotectAll and apply it after I'm done cleaning the trim. Protect All is a wax, but the better part is it's also a great UV blocker.

RE: Keeping window trim white

I've used Awesome for the last 5 years and it takes the yellow away with very little effort. I do this about once a year and when done put a coat of Protect All on them for the UV protection. Looks like the way they did the day it came off the dealers lot. Awesome can be found in most dollar stores and works great!

RE: Closing of threads

I'm not familiar with the specific thread so I cannot answer the question, but I can tell you this forum has one the the best moderators to be had in my humble opinion it it was deleted it was done so for cause. Plain and simple. If this forum and it's don't suit your fancy simply move on to the next forum. With everything going on in the world today and the RV industry this thread seems to have gotten hung up in a time warp! I think most got the point to my last post. The horse (post) is dead so quit beating it and you cannot bring it back to life for Pete's sake! The very first line of the forums rules who ALL agree to by joining reads.... "We reserve the right to remove any post at any time for any reason" your statement regarding it being closed just because the moderator didn't like it is plain hogwash to put it bluntly. it was evidently deleted for cause and most likely the mod had too much going on to issue a reason or didn't feel one was necessary. Is it snowing everywhere or something??? Just so you aren't left hanging to assume the moderator is in error as you put it I can assure you if the moderator of this forum poofed it, it was for cause and good reason. Let it go for Pete's sake.

RE: Economy Downturn

Like some of us have said. In my case I have 6 different addresses set up since I have 6 kids in 6 different locations. If my mind is sound all I have to do is pick the most desired location.:B;) I quit worrying about tomorrow. I never had time enough to enjoy today. I think it's only reasonable to say we all have some sort of plan for the future. Most will suit the individuals needs when the time comes.
